Children's Workshops

 WCLOC Children’s Theater Workshop

Will Sing Virtually This Summer!

First session is Tuesday, June 23.

Given the enormous number of cancellations for our children this summer, WCLOC wants to ensure they have something to smile about!

This summer, Director Rachel Savage and Technical Director Stephen Murray will be offering a virtual musical experience from the comfort of your own home.

Who: Children ages 8 through 15*

When: June 23 - August 7; Tuesday & Thursday evenings; beginning at 6:30 pm**

Where: All sessions will occur virtually. Instructions to be provided upon registration.

Cost: We are waiving our traditional tuition fee for this summer's online workshop, but we are encouraging a suggested donation of $75 or more to support our programming and organization's operating costs during this pandemic.

The summer sessions will work remotely to develop basic vocal and acting technique while learning a children's musical. Sessions will culminate in a digital showcase of your children's hard work and musical talents available for viewing in early August.

*Interested students will need a basic to moderate ability to use technology.

**Virtual meetings will be structured as whole group and small group musical instruction and coaching sessions, between the hours of 6:30 and 8:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Individual student meeting schedules will vary based on the role they receive

Only a few open spots remain. Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

If your child or someone you know might be interested in joining or learning more, contact Program Director Rachel Savage via email at, by 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 21 for more information.

About The WCLOC Children's Workshop

Since 1978, WCLOC has provided young people the opportunity to grow as performers and individuals. The seven week workshop-style summer program teaches the basics of theater, music, and choreography while helping build confidence and fostering friendships that go beyond the stage.

It has long been the mission of WCLOC to allow each child to explore the world of musical theater in a safe, supportive environment, all while mounting a full-length children’s musical. We look forward to providing high quality, theater education for years to come!
