WCLOC announces a fall musical revue - We're Still Here: Songs of Resiliency and Hope - to be staged outdoors at the Grandview Ave. Playhouse. Featuring carefully curated show tunes from both classic and contemporary Broadway musicals, We're Still Here is an afternoon delight designed to lift up your spirits and remind you of the power of live performing arts, especially during these most challenging times.

About the Cast

DJ Burr

DJ Burr is excited to sing with WCLOC again, previously seen on their stage in both A Grandview Night for Singing musical revues.  During his time at Berklee College of Music, he concentrated mostly on Gospel music and R&B but has enjoyed his more recent exploration of Musical Theater. In addition to playing dad to two young children, DJ is a Master Barber by trade, and enjoys connecting with people and making them look and feel their best. He is grateful to his family for their endless support and can’t wait to begin celebrating again!

Fatima Elmi

Fatima Elmi has been performing on stage for over 20 years and was last seen as an ensemble member in  Parade at The Umbrella Stage Company.  Some favorite roles include Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors (WCLOC) and Eve/Mama Noah in Children of Eden (TAM). She is also a featured vocalist with the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, a Boston area classic rock band performing hits by Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Who and Led Zeppelin. She lives outside of Worcester, MA and works for the Department of Transitional Assistance as a Case Manager. Fatima is honored to be a part of this amazing project with such beautifully talented people.

Michael Gondek

Michael Gondek has performed a wide range of repertoire, ranging from opera to jazz to musical theatre. He performed under Maestro Mark Mummert and the Music at Trinity Series, singing the bass role in the Arvo Pärt's Passio in 2017 and the roles of Pontifex and Centurion in J.S. Bach's St. Mark Passion (BWV 247) in 2018. In 2016, he performed a recital which featured the world premiere of an arrangement for voice and double-bass of Ralph Vaughan Williams' song cycle, Songs of Travel. He has performed theatrical roles in Cosi Fan Tutti, Les Miserables, Rabbit Hole, Gianni Schicchi, Trial by Jury, Pirates of Penzance, Assassins, The King and I, and Children of Eden.  He has performed several times at Nick’s Bar including headlining multiple shows. He regularly sings Bass with the Choir of All Saints Church (Worcester, Massachusetts).  He has a MA in East European History, a PhD in Human Capital Management, and works in the software industry as a sales executive.  He is a former fencing club championship gold medalist, and enjoys losing at golf to his two sons.    

Taylor Lawton

Taylor Lawton is a singer and actor whose roots run deep throughout the theatre communities in Central Massachusetts and Greater Boston. Taylor enjoys sharing his musical talents with a variety of groups and artists and is pleased to be a returning to WCLOC in this amazing cast! Taylor has performed with the Greater Worcester Opera, Theater at the Mount, Worcester County Light Opera, The Part Time Players and the Longwood Players! Some personal theatre highlights of Taylor’s include performing the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and Bob Wallace in Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Theatre at the Mount); Dr Madden/Dr. Fine in Next to Normal (BTD); The Defendant in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury (Greater Worcester Opera Company); Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar (Part Time Players). Off stage Taylor works for Fallon Health with an amazing team of professionals in Clinical Integration. Thank you to family and friends for their love and support and for the WCLOC subscribers for their ongoing support of the arts.

Kelly Letourneau

Kelly Letourneau is a NYC-based theater-maker who grew up on the WCLOC Clubhouse stage. Most recently, Kelly appeared in Pride & Prejudice by Kate Hamill at Playhouse on Park as Lydia and Lady Catherine du Bourgh and was assistant to the playwright for the NYC premiere of Dracula by Kate Hamill. Other favorite credits include: Hank in The Apple Boys (off-Broadway at HERE Arts Center), Ruby in Dames at Sea (Roxy Regional Theatre), Laura in Laura Ingalls Wilder (ArtsPower National Touring Theatre), Hermia in Midsummer (Tiltyard), and Penny in Hairspray (Roxy). Kelly is a proud graduate of the New Studio on Broadway at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, RADA, and Fiasco Theater’s Conservatory. Caitlin Sargent Lubelczyk

Cait Lubelczyk is excited to be back on the WCLOC stage with her friends. For the past 15 years she has been involved in numerous local theatre productions on and off the stage including Westborough Players, Sterling Community Theatre, and right here at WCLOC. Favorite roles include Becca in Rabbit Hole, Freida in Ourselves Alone, and Julia in Lend Me A Tenor. She also performed with a band for several years that played around New England. Cait is currently the Director of Enrollment and Marketing at Notre Dame Academy in Worcester. She would like to thank her husband Tom and daughter Olivia for taking such great care of their new puppy Daisy while she rehearsed. She would like to wish everyone good health, and encourages everyone to vote on November 3rd.

Ed Savage

Ed Savage (Emcee) is a lifelong educator, having worked with young adults for over forty years in Language Arts, Theater Arts and Athletics.  He is a long time actor and singer, having performed in many plays for WCLOC and other Community Theaters.  He is presently treasurer for WCLOC and dedicated to its mission.

Rachel Savage

Rachel Savage is thrilled to be back on the WCLOC stage with this tremendous cast and is excited to perform again! Rachel is a graduate of the Rome School of Music in Washington DC and also holds Master of Education degrees in Special Education and Administration and Leadership. Currently Rachel’s major role is being mom to two young and inquisitive children. Past favorite roles include: Amy (Company); Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd); Olive (Spelling Bee); Lucy (YAGMC); Kid (Roar of the Greasepaint…);  and Florence (Chess).  She also has had the honor of directing WCLOC’s Summer Children’s Theater Workshop for over a decade! Enormous gratitude to her parents for holding down the fort while mom and dad rehearse, and to DJ, for his continued love and support!
